Betsy Devos is a proud American who believes in helping other Americans. She has lived this life since she was a small child as her father was also a man who loved changing the society. Betsy Devos is the daughter of Edgar Prince, a well-known philanthropist and industrialist who spent his money and other resources in helping change the Michigan area. Marrying Dick Devos has also contributed to her generosity. The two married in the year 1989 and they immediately established a foundation known as the Dick and Betsy Devos Family Foundation. Criticism is now a part of the past as they have managed to achieve a lot since then. The Politico recently published a chronology of their donations and revealed that they had contributed close to $200 million since they got married. The same outlet revealed that Betsy Devos and Dick Devos channel their money to political donations and other charitable donations to help the underprivileged in the society they live in.

Reports obtained from the Information Revenue Service revealed that the couple spent $10 million on charitable donations in the year 2015 alone. At the same time, the couple promised to spend more $3.2 million on the same causes that year. One of the biggest beneficiaries of this donation is Campbell Brown in her effort to launch an education website. The site is referred to as The Partnership for Education Justice, and she received $400,000 from the couple. Campbell used to work for the CNN before she quit to focus her attention on helping American children. Success Academy Charter Schools that were established by Eva Moskowitz were also a beneficiary of the couple’s donation. The schools received a cheque of $150,000 to help in administration. Eva noted that the schools were touched by the gesture of the secretary of education. At the same time, the GREAAT Schools also received a donation worth $5,000.

Out of these donations, $200,000 went to The Potter’s House that is situated in Grand Rapids Michigan. Betsy Devos credits this school with sparkling the school choice advocacy in her 10 years ago. Since then, she developed an interest in funding the school from time to time. The Alliance for School Choice and the Foundation for Excellence in Education are other institutions that have received the funding. They both received $100,000 and $50,000 respectively to fund their projects. Christian organizations that have received the funding include Christian Schools International, John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts and ArtPrize Grand Rapid. Other lucky institutions include Boy Scouts of America, Rehoboth Christian School Association, Ada Christian School Society and Grand Rapids Christian School Association. Universities that have benefited from donations by Betsy Devos include Cornell University, Wake Forest University and Calvin College.

According to reviewers, there is a particular branch of wisdom that makes us think religion is diversified. The resemblance of worship is the effect of this intelligence.
